Helping people to live with CLL

MyCLLife is a campaign to support and empower people whose lives have been impacted by chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL). Whether you are living with or know someone living with CLL, this website is dedicated to help you play an active role in your or their care.

Looking after yourself

Whether you or someone close to you has been diagnosed with CLL, it is important to take time to look after your physical, emotional, and mental health. Maintaining your mental wellbeing by partaking in talking therapy or activities such as yoga or mindfulness can help to alleviate anxieties you may be feeling. It can often be the small things that make the biggest difference!

Interested in hearing about others’ experiences of navigating life with CLL?

Small Things, Big Difference offers a collection of personal anecdotes, insights, practical tips, and wisdom from members of the CLL community.

It’s also a good idea to connect with your healthcare team who may be able to signpost you to local support groups or therapists, where you may even be able to meet others going through similar experiences.

The importance of mindfulness

Mindfulness can be a powerful tool to help you manage and respond to the stressful events happening in your life and can also help reduce feelings of fatigue and exhaustion.

Specifically designed for people affected by blood cancers, this mindfulness series may help you build resilience and learn to manage any uncertainties or anxieties that may come when living with CLL.
You will be guided through mindfulness practice of the body, soles of the feet, or breath, depending on if you want to feel energised, grounded or anchored in the moment.

Mindfulness for blood cancer patients: an introduction

Mindfulness of the Body

Mindfulness of soles of the feet

Mindfulness of the breath

When you practice mindfulness, you are training your brain to become more resilient, which can help you to cope better. These mindfulness podcasts are aimed to support you in this journey.
